The Geoparks resources have been organized into five districts or product precincts.
The area has been a prime study venue for high school and uni field trips in Geology, Geomorphology and Geography for at least 70 years (University of Adelaide, University of Melbourne, Monash University, University of Ballarat and RMIT University). This section includes short descriptions of many of the more important known sites in each precinct.
