The Visitor Guide to the Kanawinka Global Geopark is now available to be downloaded as a PDF. The Guide is a comprehensive, 28 page publication about this remarkable region that provides the visitor with details about all five Geopark precincts and includes a map of the Geopark that highlights more than 50 significant Geosites.

21st November Kanawinka Geopark Day Tour

A day tour of the Kanawinka Geopark focusing on the Lava Flows precinct and visiting the Warrnambool and Hamilton Art Galleries is to take place on November 21st 2010.
Bus Travel, Tour Guides, Morning Tea and Two Course Lunch at Café Catalpa is included in the tour. A geomorphologist and an artist are to be Tour Guides.
Cost is $58.00 per person.

Report of a Workshop on ‘Geotourism, Geoparks and Geotrails’
Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia 8-10 July 2010
A two day Workshop entitled Geotourism, Geoparks and Geotrails was held from 8 to 10 July 2010 in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. Thirty Delegates attended from all over Australia as well two delegates from Hong Kong, China. Delegates represented a diverse range of backgrounds from tour companies, universities, schools, artists, local residents, photographic groups, 4 wheel drive clubs and museums.
